Adding to his qualifications a degree in HR and Marketing a major strength is his ability to communicate with people at any level and from many backgrounds or cultures. He has a keen interest in Diversity and Inclusion having been a founding member of a global taskforce which has been awarded Diversity Inc. No 1 award in the USA.
Peter takes an innovative approach to any project or challenge always aligning the outcomes to the needs of the business, group or individual. He is recognised for having a consultative approach and has successfully managed many large people and culture changes in various countries achieving increases of up to 15 base points in employee engagement and significant reductions in turnover.

Brisbane Event #3: The Woolworths HR Transformation - A Fresh Approach

Position: Group Head of People Services
Tanya Eales is the Group Head of People Services for Woolworths Ltd, Australia's largest employer. She is a member of the Woolworths Ltd Human Resources (HR) executive leadership team and played an integral role in the organisation wide HR transformation project. The project delivered a new HR operating model across all Woolworths Ltd brands and subsequently implemented the new shared services function - People Services.
Appointed to the position in April 2015, Tanya is responsible for the delivery of Recruitment, Development, Employee Relations, Payroll, Benefits and Reward services from People Services to 200 000 Woolworths Ltd employees nationally. People Services are a team of approximately 270 human resources professionals delivering HR advice and support from Brisbane and small state-based locations around Australia.
As a shared services function, People Services operates on a global scale. The Employee Lifecycle & Payroll team deliver over 545,000 pays per month; since September this year the Talent Acquisition & Development team have hired 16,000+ employees and aim to recruit a further 10,000 by the end of 2015; and, the People Advisory team address, 6,500 queries on average, (by phone, email and webchat), per week.

Brisbane Event #2: How to Encourage Corporate Entrepreneurship Through Solid People Platforms
Speaker: Mark Middleton MBA

Mark is the Group CEO of Icon Group which incorporates Icon Cancer Care, Radiation Oncology Centres, Epic Pharmacy and Slade Health. He is also a highly-regarded radiation therapist with 24 peer reviewed publications and has been an invited guest speaker both nationally and internationally. In 2007, as Radiation Oncology Queensland (ROQ) CEO (now Radiation Oncology Centres), he led the highly successful clinical commencement of ROQ Toowoomba and repeated the success in 2011 with ROQ Cairns and 2014 with ROQ Gold Coast. Currently he is also leading the expansion of Icon Group into Singapore, China and New Zealand as well as exploring growth opportunities across South East Asia. Mark has also successfully led tender processes which have resulted in over $80 million in State and Commonwealth funding.
In 2010, he led ROQ to a Business Excellence Award from the Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce and in 2014 a place on the BRW Top 25 Best Places to Work in Australia and Top 25 Best Places to Work in Asia. He was also a State Finalist for the AIM Queensland Manager of the Year in 2014 and regional winner of the AIM Excellence Award 2015. In 2016 he was a finalist for the Australian Healthcare CEO of the Year.
He has a Master of Business Administration from Deakin University and is a Fellow of both the Australian Institute of Management and the Australian Institute of Radiography. Mark is passionate about ensuring accessibility to world class cancer care for the people of Australia and beyond.

Allan is the Founder and Non-Executive Chairman of ASX-listed, and B-Corp accredited, Silver Chef Limited which was founded in 1986.
In 2000, as a volunteer, he established the Queensland office for Opportunity International. In 2010, he created the English Family Foundation to support local and overseas social entrepreneurs tackling some of the more challenging issues facing our society.
Allan currently serves as a Council member of Philanthropy Australia and on the Advisory Board for QUT's The Australian Centre for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies. He is a former recipient of the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award and was recognised in 2012 by Queensland’s Community Foundation as Philanthropist of the Year. In 2014, he won the inaugural Philanthropy Australia’s Philanthropy Leader award.
