About the Topic

Managing dismissals is never easy, especially when you're dealing with executives. It's often thought executives can't make unfair dismissal claims - but that's not always the case. Even when they can't, there are a range of other potential claims that can be made. On top of that, you may have to deal with complex incentive arrangements, post employment restraints and, possibly, regulatory issues under the Corporations Act.

In this session, we will provide a practical roadmap to help manage the potential issues and pitfalls covering:

  • How you might manage executive performance
  • Identifying and managing legal risks
  • Proactively managing the departure and protecting the business from competition
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory restrictions on termination payments and other benefits
