Nicole Gower joined Macquarie University as Director of Human Resources in October 2014. Prior to this appointment Nicole worked as an employment law specialist in private practice and in HR leadership roles at the University of New South Wales (UNSW).
Nicole is a member of the Macquarie University Executive Group and is the Executive Group sponsor for several strategic initiatives including the Gender Equity Strategy and UniForum benchmarking.
Nicole currently serves on the Boards of U@MQ, a controlled entity of Macquarie University (Director and Chair), and UniSuper Limited (Director).
Nicole has a particular interest and passion in leadership development and talent strategy particularly in an academic context.
Nicole holds a BA/LLB (Hons) from the University of Technology, Sydney. Nicole is also an accredited mediator and nationally accredited workplace trainer and assessor.
