About the Topic
In 2018, Coronado, a privately owned company with 3 mines in the US, purchased the Curragh mine in Central Queensland from Wesfarmers, a large Australian listed business. In October 2018 ‘Coronado Global Resources’ was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange and Emma was appointed to the Vice President People and Culture role covering both US and Australian operations. Emma will discuss the journey so far to integrate the four operations, each with very different cultures, level of maturity and business requirements; and with the added complexity of a large proportion of the business moving from private to public sector. Emma’s presentation will overview some of the strategies being used to shift mindsets, how priorities were determined and some of the challenges still to come.
